Track

So i was really enjoying being able to come after school. Lay back and relax. And then track had to start. But I've now realized how much fun it is. It's just a more fun (funner?) atmosphere. Everyone's so happy and smiley and chill. It's terrific! I do the sprinting workouts, then I go and do High Jump, long, and shot. Oddly enough, my sophomore coach is the high jump coach.... although she's never high jumped. She did do pole vault though so I guess she kind of knows what she's doing. She's fun to have around though. Except once, when I was High jumping, I went and jumped and fell off the other side. Every one was cracking up. She said "That was stupid" and left it at that. She is unfathomable.... But other than that I've got nothing to do... except catch up on math homework. I used to like it, but then it got hard so... not so much fun anymore. that's all for now!

Our Last Game

Yesterday we finished off our season against American Fork with a one point lead. It was the most intense game I've ever played in. This is how it went down...
We were down by four with about 30 seconds left on the clock. AF was throwing the ball in under our basket. I was gaurding the girl who was throwing it in so I was jumping up and down, going crazy. She went to throw it over my head, but i tipped it and went up for a shot. I missed, but I got fouled. Now we've got about 20 seconds left. Thanks to my dad for telling me to get a new free throw routine I made both my free throws. AF went to throw the ball in again and Brookie T. (our 3 point shooter) fouled her. Luckily we still had a couple of fouls left until AF was in bonus so they took it out on the side line. We now have seven seconds left, and we're down by two. I was on ball, freakin out again, and she lobbed it up and Haileigh (a post) tipped it then chased after and got the ball. She passed it in to Jen (also a post with phenomenal skill) who went up for a shot, and as the buzzer rang, made a shot and was fouled. Now we're tied with no time left on the clock, and Jen has one shot to win the game. It was so intense seeing her go up to the free throw line. She went through her routine.... took a deep breath, and took the shot. SWISH!!! The crowd (on our side anyway) went insane, we all ran onto the floor and tackled Jen. So we finished off our season with an 11-9 record. SWEET!

Basketball, Basketball, and guess what! More Basketball!!!

This season has been so much fun! At least I realize that now since we've got one practice and one game left. Since I haven't really talked about this at all, I guess I'll just sum it up. It started out with tryouts. There were two freshman, (who didn't really try out, we just pulled them up) seven sohpies, ten juniors, and two seniors. All in all we had about 21 players if I can count right. We started out practicing seperately. Sophomores would practice in "the upstairs gym" or Landmark High, and JV and Varsity practiced together in the girls' gym. It was working out great that way... until someone got hurt... and then someone else got hurt.... and another, and another..... until now. We have about fifteen girls to play on three different teams and now sophs practice with JV/varsity. It's fun. The coaches are awesom. Head Coach and sophomore english teacher, we have Johnson. She puts the "laughter" into "Man-slaughter". She's a marathon runner so... lots of conditioning, but it's only a sidedish to our full course meal of fun. Not to mention she is hilarious!!! Next we have Cramer. JV coach and history teacher. I'm pretty sure every guy in our school has a "crush" on her. Anyway I feel like she is the most sane one... Don't know for sure yet, but as far as i've seen she's relatively normal. Next is Coach A. Well, well, well. Sophomore coach and teaches UCBT. She's quite hilarious and short, but I won't judge. She's made this season so much fun... for the most part. :) And let's not forget Nikki Brown. Fresh out of high school, she has been Coach A's assisstant coach for the sophomores. She is awesome (except that she strips the ball from me every time I try to go up) and she's always making us better. Sometimes I don't think she's knows what she's doing, coaching wise, but she'll figure it out. I love 'em all.
The players are great and they all have their own personalities, despite the fact that half of them are out because of injuries. There is a new school opening up next year, Maple Mountain. It's a little sad because Salem Hills just opened last year, so we lost some players then, but now we may be losing more. :(. Sad day!!! Well that's about all. The house is coming a long. So I haven't written anything for a long time. I don't know if any of you know this, but I like to draw... I just started drawing batman (mostly because i'm so excited for the new movie) and he's fun to draw :-) So, as soon as I can scan them, I'll put them on... i've gone to a basketball camp up in cedar city, and the sophomore coach is awesome so i'm really excited for try outs this year, and because no one else from my team has gone to any of the things we've done this summer. Like right now we're doing a weight lifting program and next week we're doing a shooting clinic, my dad is a little upset that they haven't called him to come down and show them all how to shoot. just kidding. I'm riding in a horse parade on monday... yay! I also can't wait to get my schedule for HIGH SCHOOL! But I don't know whether or not (depending on if my english teacher is Coach Johnson {the varsity coach}) to transfer teachers if i don't get who I want. I'm also transferring out of swimming (yuck) into social dance. I'm also taking an Advanced Conditioning class which, Coach Johnson told me to Transfer into the class she's teaching. I'm really excited...

My life

Basketball is over... obviously. We lost to Mapleton in our tournament, then we lost to Payson in overtime. It was pretty intense. School is good. Kind of boring. I've decided to do track. I'll probably do 100m or 100m hurdles and the long jump or something like that. I'm not sure yet. We got a new horse. He's great. Not just a pony, an actual real life tall horse. Yep. Nothin else to report.... I don't think...

Mapleton....

beat us again! So we ended the season 9 and 3. 2 losses to Mapleton, 1 to Payson. We are in the tournament, today we beat springville, we play mapleton tomorrow. I am sooooooo excited!!!!! Can't wait. Keep you posted...

Basketball and Snowboarding

I went snowboarding yesterday and it was a blast. It's only the second time I've been, so the first run I couldn't remember what I was doing and I kept falling, but by the end of the day I thought I was doin' pretty good. We are now 9 and 2 in our season, having lost to Mapleton and Payson. We play Mapleton again on tuesday and we're all very excited. I'll keep you posted.

So we haven't lost again. We're actually doing pretty good. Not a whole lot goin' on. umm... yeah. We got through semester 1 in school finally.... It really didn't seem like it took that long at all. I bought a snowboard and i can't wait to use it. My friend and I might go next weekend. yay!!!

Defeated...

So yesterday (Thursday) we lost our first game to Mapleton. Our first 3 quarters were horrible, then in the 4th quarter we came back and the final score was 48 to 42. So that's not horrible. We play them again on the 24th.... maybe. We'll beat them. Oh yeah....

UNDEFEATED

So we've won all of our season games. Yay!!! GO LOBOS!!! It is sooo much fun! I love playing. It's great. We still have things we have to work on, but Coach says we've come a long way. I'll keep you updated.

Basketball

We're 3 and 0 in our season. (Undefeated.) We've beaten Diamond Fork, Springville, and Payson. We just started playing a zone defense. It's pretty good in my opinion. I haven't been on for a while, but someone was saying i was tagged. So six random facts about me... here it goes.

1) Oranges are my new favorite fruit in the winter.
2) I wish I had spidey-powers. Or Batman's intelligence. Either or.
3) I think global warming is a lie.
4) I wish I ran the oil companies in the Middle East.
5) Umm.... I think most janitors smell funny.
6) If I could be any fruit, I would be a tangerine.

WE WON!!!!!

So we won our first season game against Diamond Fork. It was so much fun. I got to play post and I think I made 3 shots, maybe 4. We have another game tomorrow against Murray. They're supposed to be pretty good. I hope we win. It's a pre season game after the season started. They didn't schedule soon enough.

We Lost.... : (

So we lost our first game. We played Lehi. They beat us by I think 20. I played like the last 3 quarters. It was fun. I think we lost because we went out thinking we were gonna just blow them away, and that we were such a good team, and so on. Oh well! we'll play hard next time.

Practice

So, the team's goin okay. Its pretty hard though. Our offense is 41 motion. We're starting to get the hang of it, it's a little confusing. Our first game is the Monday after Thanksgiving. Yay. We'll all be full of turkey and potatoes and gravy. Won't that be fun?

I MADE THE TEAM!!!!!

So, I made the girls freshman basketball team, along with my friend, Morgan. I'm so excited. Well, I was excited when I made it past first cuts. But making the team was awesome!!! I'm so EXCITED!!!

Its been a while since I've been on with all the moving and stuff. In two weeks (approximately) basketball tryouts start. My friend, Morgan, and I are going to try to make it to the final cuts. That's our goal anyway, but we're hoping we make the team. It should be a lot of fun. Even if I don't make the team, it'll still be a good experience. School is fun. We just started second term on Monday. Yay! All my teachers are really nice. My biology teacher, Mr. Hallam, is just weird, but he's a nice guy. Seminary is still fun. It just seems to fly by though. I wish it was a little longer. I've got 9 scripture masteries mastered. It's fun. I'm in FFA, too. It's lots of fun as well. I'm still riding the ponies. They're great. Well, see ya later!

Scripture Reading

Not a whole lot goin' on in Benjamin. We're all pretty excited, except my dad (just kidding) about moving into the new house. Have any of you seen it? If not, I think my dad has a picture of it... maybe. It's small but I think it will be pretty cozy. Oh, and I get to draw all over the walls in our(mine and Addi's) room. I'm thinking of doing some sort of fantasy mural. Dragons, unicorns, ya know. Oh, by the way, for Seminary, I have to read 10 minutes everyday. I'm kind of having a hard time. I mean, I do pretty good, but I could be doing better. The problem is, I finish all of one weeks reading in 20 minutes, and then I just don't get around to the next week. Any suggestions???

Open Gym

So I've started going to open gym.... it's difficult. I went last night and there werre only 3 freshmans (including myself) there. We seperated into four teams, and each team played 2 games. I've learned that sophomores have to win... they are extrememly violent players. It was fun though. I think next week we go to the weight room. yay.....
